At the heart of Lagos Continental Hotel’s vibrant culinary scene is Chef Ernst Lothar Frank, a seasoned executive chef with over 30 years of international experience spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

A native of Germany, Chef Frank began his journey in the Black Forest region through a traditional apprenticeship. Today, he leads the culinary direction of the hotel with a focus on innovation, team collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Since joining the hotel, Chef Frank has revitalized the food and beverage experience, launching new dining outlets and enhancing existing ones such as Ekaabo, Soho, Milano, Sugar 52, and the Sports Bar. His leadership has not only improved guest satisfaction but also attracted a surge in walk-in diners.

Driven by a passion for Nigerian cuisine, Chef Frank is reimagining local dishes with global appeal. Collaborating with local culinary talents, including renowned Chef Amaka, he is working to elevate Nigerian food to international standards while preserving its rich heritage.

"We're not reinventing the dishes; we're enhancing their presentation and experience," says Chef Frank. His goal is to make Nigerian cuisine as globally recognized as Italian or Chinese fare.

Through initiatives like the vibrant Sunday brunch at Ekaabo and innovative Asian offerings at Soho, Chef Frank is turning Lagos Continental Hotel into a top destination for culinary discovery.
